A school bus carrying disabled children collided with a car on the Moreno Valley (60) Freeway Thursday, damaging the smaller vehicle, but leaving no one injured.

The crash happened about 4:10 p.m. on the eastbound 60 at Day Street, near the Moreno Valley Mall, the California Highway Patrol said.

The agency said 15 disabled children were on the bus, supervised by two aides and the driver, none of whom were hurt.

The motorist also escaped injury.

Officers were asked to expedite their investigation because the youths were frightened by the crash and had to be calmed down, according to reports from the scene.

It was not immediately clear how the crash happened.

The car sustained moderate damage, but the bus had virtually no signs of an impact, the CHP said.
