Two men suspected in at least seven robberies of gas stations and convenience stores in the San Fernando Valley have been arrested, police said Monday.
Deshon Daniels, 18, and Nyla Phillips, 19, were arrested at 9:45 p.m. Thursday, according to sheriff’s jail records.
They were taken into custody after being chased by police following the robbery of a business in the 11200 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Daniels was seen fleeing the business and allegedly discarded a firearm during an ensuing foot pursuit, police said.
“Phillips was identified as the driver of the suspect vehicle,” according to a police statement. “They were both taken into custody without further incident.”
Police say they are believed to be responsible for seven gas station and convenience store robberies in and around Van Nuys between Feb. 27 and Thursday.
