Police Saturday sought the public’s help in finding an attempted murder suspect wanted in a December attack outside of an Echo Park bar.

On Dec. 29, 2016, between 1:50 and 2 a.m. the suspect was seen having drinks with the two victims inside the Gold Room Bar, located at 1558 W. Sunset Blvd., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

When the bar closed, the victims and the suspect all left at the same time when they engaged in a verbal dispute.

The suspect struck one of the victims on the side of the head, causing a laceration. The other victim tried to keep the peace during the physical altercation but he was cut on the neck and face by the suspect with a knife, police said.

The suspect then fled the scene in a dark colored sedan.

Police describe the suspect as Hispanic, between the ages of 25 and 30, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing between 200 to 210 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a beard and multiple tattoos on his face, neck and head, police said.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket with gray pants.

Anyone with information about the attack was asked to contact Officer Morales of the LAPD’s Rampart Gang Detectives, at (213) 484-3660 or (213) 484- 3655.
