One person was killed and two other people were injured Tuesday in a fiery multiple-vehicle crash in Lake Mathews, authorities said.
The crash was reported about 6 p.m. in the area of Scottsdale and Harley John roads, according to Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol.
A pickup truck and a sedan collided, leaving the driver trapped in the pickup, which caught fire, according to a videographer at the scene who said other vehicles may have been involved.
One person was confirmed dead and two people — one with minor and the other with moderate injuries — were taken to a hospital, Hagemann said.
