Hundreds of firefighters have stopped the forward spread of a blaze that has burned 25 acres of brush in the Castaic area,.
The fire was reported at 3:38 p.m. off the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway north of Lake Hughes Road, Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Melanie Flores said.
The fire was 30 percent contained abut 6:15 p.m., according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman.
No structures were threatened and there were no evacuations.
