Two people were injured when a car that had been chased by Fullerton police crashed in flames in La Mirada.

Firefighters were summoned about 6:40 p.m. Friday to the area of Colette Way and La Mirada Boulevard and took two people to a hospital, a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher said.

Officers responded about 6:30 p.m. to a report of a vehicle burglary in the 1100 block of Euclid Street and a vehicle with two male suspects inside fled the scene at high speed, Fullerton police Lt. Mike Chelbowski said.

Officers gave chase, but lost sight of the vehicle, until they came upon the crash scene, Chelbowski said.

The vehicle caught fire after the suspects were out, he said.

The conditions of the suspects were not immediately available.

Chelbowski said they would eventually be booked on suspicion of vehicle burglary.

It is possible they will also face evading allegations as well, he said.
