Officers made a grim discovery when they found the bullet-riddled body of a 30-year-old shooting victim on the ground near his vehicle in a parking lot near some apartments in Boyle Heights, police said Saturday.
While saying the killing may be gang related, the murder remained a mystery.
Officers responding at 11:15 p.m. Friday to the 2800 block of Camulos Place found Raul Sanchez, Jr. down in a parking lot near his vehicle, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Sanchez had suffered several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The shooting appears to be gang related.
