A fire department captain suffered a minor hand injury Friday battling a blaze that broke out at a commercial building in Industry.
The fire was reported at 1:34 p.m. in the 200 block of Puente Avenue. Knockdown was declared at 3:42 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The injured fire captain was taken to a hospital, an inspector said.
The fire was reported to have started in machinery inside the structure.
A second alarm was called so additional resources could assist in overhaul and the dousing of hot spots, the dispatcher said.
