A big rig ignited Sunday on the Riverside (91) Freeway in Corona, prompting multiple lane closures.
The fire was reported at 10:09 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway west of Sefras Club Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Only the tractor of the truck caught fire, and the driver was able to make it out safely, officials said.
At one point, the truck was leaking diesel onto the roadway, according to the CHP.
Only two lanes remained open on the freeway as firefighters worked to extinguish the flames.
