A 36-year-old registered sex offender suspected of two sexual assaults in Long Beach within an eight-year span was taken into custody Thursday.
Sex crimes detectives identified the suspect as Victor Carlos Flores, who was accused of a sexual misconduct incident in March 2026, and also for an offense that occurred in August 2018, while Flores was working as a massage therapist at a business located at 927 E. Broadway, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Flores was arrested on Thursday and booked at the Long Beach City Jail on suspicion of felony sexual assault, oral copulation, sexual penetration, and failure to update his address to fulfill the sexual offender registrant requirement, with no set bail, police said.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims based on the nature of the offenses.
The business was cited for allowing an unlicensed employee to perform services requiring a license.
The case is expected to be presented to the District Attorney’s Office for formal filing consideration.
