
Deputies were trying to solve a motel murder mystery Saturday in the death of a woman in Baldwin Park.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives detained a man for questioning.
Officers responded about 2 p.m. Friday to a “keep the peace call” in the 13900 block of Francisquito Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“Upon their arrival, officers discovered a female Hispanic adult who had sustained trauma to her upper body,” Deputy Ryan Rouzan of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said. “The trauma was caused by an unknown object.”
The woman, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, Rouzan said.
“A male adult who was also located inside the location is being detained, pending an interview with detectives,” the deputy said.
Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives were assisting Baldwin Park police in the death investigation.
