A 21-year-old man was fatally stabbed Friday in Pomona and his girlfriend was booked on suspicion of murder, police said.
The stabbing occurred about 12:15 a.m. at an apartment complex in the 2200 block of West Valley Boulevard, according to the Pomona Police Department.
Chayenne Lywood, 20, of Pomona was arrested at the scene and held on $2 million bail, police said.
Officers and paramedics were sent to the apartment building after receiving 911 calls of a disturbance and found the victim — identified by the coroner’s office as Shaqcore Dalvin Prawl — in a vehicle suffering from a stab wound.
“Homicide detectives were called out to investigate,” police said. “During their investigation, it was learned that a domestic violence incident occurred between the suspect and her boyfriend.”
Lywood was due in court in Pomona on Tuesday, according to sheriff’s inmate records.
