Scary Amber Alert freeway signs were up around Southern California and throughout the state Monday about an abducted year-old boy, but the massive electronic appeal was canceled later in the after the child was found in safe condition.

who was abducted Monday morning in Monterey County has been found, authorities said.

Emiliano Salinas was abducted at 4:47 a.m. from the city of Soledad in Monterey County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Authorities circulated his photo, along with a description and license number of a car wanted in connection with the case.

The Soledad Police Department announced that the boy had been found within about five hours after the abduction, and the Amber Alert was canceled.

No details were yet available about the abduction, suspects or motive.
