A greater alarm fire damaged a four-unit strip mall in Winnetka, authorities said Sunday.

It was reported at 11 p.m. at 20851 Sherman Way, according to Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department, with more than 100 firefighters putting out the fire within 36 minutes of their arrival.

The mall was well-involved and firefighters assumed a defensive position, putting out flames from outside and protecting nearby structures, Humphrey said.

No injuries were reported and a cause of the fire was under investigation.
