Crews worked Thursday to repair a street in Reseda that buckled when a water pipe ruptured and flooded an intersection.

The problem was reported about 4 p.m. Wednesday in the 18700 block of Cohasset Street, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“We know it’s a six-inch pipe that broke,” said Kim Hughes of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. She said 41 customers were affected.

Crews restored water service by about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, said Christy Holland, also of the LADWP. Crews worked Thursday to repair the roadway that buckled at Cohasset Street and Rhea Avenue.

About 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, an 8-inch main ruptured at Tampa Avenue and Sherman Way in Reseda, interrupting service to eight customers. Crews worked overnight to repair the pipe.
