Three people suffered superficial stab wounds Sunday when a soccer match in Whittier degenerated into an all-out brawl involving 20 to 30 people, and a lone assailant stabbed at least three people, deputies said.
Paramedics were dispatched at 12:25 p.m. to El Camino High School, 14625 Keese Drive, and they took three people to an area hospital, a county fire department dispatcher.
With details still sketchy, the lone assailant was described as a man who last seen wearing a black jersey, said a watch commander at the sheriff’s Norwalk station.
The wounds were described as superficial, she said.
“There were two teams and a brawl ensued,” she said.
