A North Hollywood man has pleaded no contest to charges that he raped an 89-year-old woman at a Northridge senior center and a 71-year-old woman at her home.
Danilo Arturo Gonzalez, 33, entered his plea to two counts each of forcible rape and assault by means of force likely to cause great bodily injury, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
He is facing 50 years to life in state prison, with sentencing set for Aug. 30 at the San Fernando courthouse.
The rape charges involved a September 2015 attack on a 71-year-old woman who had just returned home and was dragged to her bedroom and sexually assaulted, along with a May 2016 attack on the 89-year-old woman at a senior living facility, where a caretaker came to her aid and called 911.
The assault charges involve a woman in her 80s in July 2015 and a 91-year-old man in October 2015.
Gonzalez was arrested by Los Angeles police in May 2016 at his home and has remained behind bars since then, according to jail records.
