A Hollywood KFC restaurant will be closed Monday after firefighters extinguished a non-injury fire inside the heavily damaged fast-food eatery.

The blaze at 340 N. Western Ave., just north of Beverly Boulevard, was reported at 2:16 p.m. Sunday, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.

The fire burned the rook and walls of the restaurant, Stewart said.

The department dispatched 40 firefighters to the scene. They knocked down the flames in about 34 minutes, Stewart continued.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remained under investigation.
