A motorcyclist lost a portion of his left leg following a collision with a car in Temple City, authorities said.
It happened at 11:55 a.m. Saturday in the 5300 block of Rosemead Boulevard at Sereno Drive, said Sgt. Dave Kearney at the Temple Sheriff’s Station.
The motorcyclist was going northbound on Rosemead Boulevard and a southbound car turning left “clipped” him, Kearney said.
The motorcyclist, a man believed to be about 25, required a tourniquet at the scene and lost a portion of his left leg while undergoing treatment at County-USC Medical Center, the sergeant said.
Rosemead Boulevard was closed until 3:11 p.m. for the crash investigation, Kearney said.
