Three people were in custody Tuesday in connection with a non-injury deputy-involved shooting in Norwalk.

Deputies were sent to Hermosillo Park, near 162nd Street and Clarkdale Avenue, about 5 p.m. Monday on a report of a shooting, and learned that three suspects were seen running out of the park.

“While checking the immediate area, deputies located three men matching the description of the suspects,” according to a sheriff’s statement. “An encounter ensued and a deputy-involved shooting occurred. The suspects fled the location and were seen running into a nearby house in the 11900 block of 162nd Street.”

Deputies and a SWAT team searched nearby homes “and made surrender announcements,” according to the statement.

Two men and a male juvenile then came out of a nearby home and were arrested. A gun was recovered after a search of the residence, the sheriff’s department reported.

The three were booked on suspicion of assault on a peace officer, and were being held on $100,000 bail each. Their names were not immediately released.
