Two occupants of a motor home that may have been intentionally set ablaze were discovered dead Wednesday in Winchester, but the circumstances were unclear.

The victims were located shortly after 6 a.m. inside the RV, which was parked in the 31000 block of Olive Avenue, near Leon Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. Their names were not immediately released.

Crews arrived to find the motor home partially consumed by flames, which were knocked down less than 10 minutes later, and sheriff’s detectives were summoned to investigate what happened.

As of 11 a.m., sheriff’s officials had not issued any statements.
