A 38-year-old man is in jail in Pomona Saturday, arrested on suspicion of possessing narcotics and prohibited weapons.
Police arrested Christopher Raymond McCarthy when they served a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of East Kingsley Avenue at about 8 p.m. Friday and found two loaded guns, large quantities of suspected methamphetamine, narcotic paraphernalia and “items consistent with the sales of narcotics,’ the Pomona Police Department reported.
“Other illegal items located included dangerous prohibited weapons,’ police said.
McCarthy was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotics while armed with a firearm, possession for sale of a controlled substance and possession of prohibited weapons.
He was booked at the Pomona City Jail, where he was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
