An older woman using a walker was struck by a vehicle and injured Wednesday in La Mirada.
Firefighters responded about 4:45 p.m. to the scene near the intersection of Imperial Highway and La Mirada Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The victim was taken to a hospital, a dispatcher said.
A news photographer at the scene said the victim was an elderly woman who was using a walker when she was struck by an SUV whose driver stopped as required.
There was no word of the seriousness of the injuries, her age, identity or why she was hit.
