Two men suspected in a home invasion in L.A.’s Palms district Wednesday morning were taken into custody after a search of the neighborhood, police said.
Officers responded to a hot prowl call at 2:11 a.m. in the 3400 block of Clarington Avenue, said an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Division. One man entered the home while the other was believed to be acting as a lookout, police said.
The suspect who entered the home was confronted by a resident, took a cell phone from a table and ran off, police said. No injuries were reported.
Police searched the neighborhood with the assistance of a helicopter crew and, around 3:20 a.m., detained the two men believed to have been involved in the break-in and robbery.
