Deputies arrested three men armed with replica handguns who allegedly robbed at least three convenience stores Saturday in the South Los Angeles and Compton areas.
The first robbery occurred about 4:50 a.m. in the Compton area with another occurring at about 5:15 a.m., said Sgt. Martin Harney of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Century station.
Deputies received a basic description of the suspects’ vehicle and arrested two of three suspects, as well as recovering money from at least two of the robberies and replica firearms found inside the vehicle, Harney said.
The third suspect, who fled the scene on foot, was found in Compton at about 7:30 a.m. hiding in some bushes, he said.
There was no other immediate information.
