A shooting at a Long Beach law office left two people dead Friday, including the shooter, and at least one other person injured.
Police responded at 2:25 p.m. to a report of an active shooter at a Larry H. Parker law office in the 300 block of East San Antonio Drive in the Bixby Knolls area, police said.
By 3:30 p.m., police said there was no longer an active-shooter threat at the location. Police said they were conducting a murder investigation, with the shooter also dead at the scene. Reports from the scene indicated that at least one other person was injured, and may have driven himself or herself to a hospital.
Police cordoned off the area and closed streets surrounding the business.
A motive for the shooting was unknown.
The identities of the deceased were withheld pending family notification.
