
A pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday in Panorama City, and the driver of the van that hit him was arrested after trying to flee, police said.
The pedestrian was struck shortly before 6 a.m. at Roscoe Boulevard and Woodman Avenue and died at the scene, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Stephen Rosenstein, 59, died at the scene of his injury, which occurred shortly before 6 a.m. Wednesday at Roscoe Boulevard and Woodman Avenue, the coroner’s office reported. His home town was not known.
The driver, whose name was not immediately available, was arrested after he got out of the van and ran away, according to the Los Angeles Police Department and reports from the scene.
