Los Angeles police detectives asked for the public’s help Monday to identify the hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a 73-year-old man in the Jefferson Park area.
Filemon Renteria somehow “fell into the roadway” and was struck about 5:55 a.m. Saturday, in the 2300 block of Crenshaw Boulevard, according to Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez and coroner’s officials.

Renteria was pronounced dead at the scene, Lt. Dave Smith of the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office said.
The motorist was possibly driving a white 2015 to 2018 Toyota Highlander, the LAPD said.
Tipsters can earn up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of the offending driver under the city’s Hit and Run Reward Program Trust Fund.
