A woman was shot and killed Sunday inside a residence in Lake Los Angeles and a man has been detained, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.
The shooting was about 3:10 p.m. in the 15600 block of Newmont Avenue, said sheriff’s Lt. Dan Nagelmann of the Lancaster station.

No other information on the suspect or the woman who was killed was immediately available. There’s no word yet on the relationship between the suspect and the deceased.
The woman’s name was withheld pending notification of kin.
