Detectives Wednesday were investigating the deaths of three people, reportedly an elderly couple and their son, whose bodies were found inside a Leimert Park home.

Officers went to the 3900 block of South Bronson Avenue about 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

Authorities have not released the names of the dead, identified by NBC4 as William Carter, 83, his wife, Orsi Carter, 79, and their son, Phillip White, 65.

According to ABC7, the homeowner’s son went to check on him Tuesday night and found his father dead in a bathroom of the residence, along with the bodies of his grandparents, all of whom had suffered “blunt force trauma.”

The homeowner’s female caretaker is being sought as a “person of interest,” according to broadcast reports.

“We’re very curious, because she’s not here,” neighbor Gina Fields said. “So, we don’t know what happened, or where she went. … She kind of came into his life very quickly, and now has vanished.”

“No one deserves this,” family friend David Rogers said. “And hopefully this individual … or individuals will be brought to justice.”
