Two people were killed Saturday in a two-vehicle collision in Riverside.

Fire crews were called about 3:15 a.m. to Market Street and the Pomona (60) Freeway for an accident involving a SUV and a sedan, according to Battalion Chief Todd Gooch with the Riverside Fire Department.

One person in the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.

Another was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but later died, said Gooch.

One other person was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries, he said.

Riverside police are investigating the cause of the crash.
