A shooting in Lancaster Tuesday morning sent one man to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
Sheriff’s deputies received a shots fired call just after midnight and were sent to an apartment complex in the 500 block of Jackman Street, where they found evidence a shooting had occurred, but no victim at the scene, according to Sgt. S. Arcidiacono of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Lancaster Station.
Moments after deputies arrived at the scene, they received information that a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds had been admitted to a hospital, he said.
Deputies were sent to the hospital, but were not able to get a statement from the victim because he was being prepared for surgery, Arcidiacono said.
The man is out of surgery and listed in stable condition, he said.
No description of any suspect or suspects was available.
