One of two men convicted of raping a German tourist in Hollywood in 2016 is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday.
Jurors on Friday found Otis Barway, 25, guilty of one count of forcible rape in concert. He’s facing a maximum sentence of 9 1/2 years in prison,
Co-defendant Kenneth Mack, 29, was convicted the same day of two counts of forcible rape in concert involving the tourist and another victim who was attacked on July 31, 2016, during a robbery.
Mack, whose sentencing date is Sept. 18, faces up to 215 years to life behind bars.
On Dec. 5, 2016, the two men lured the victim in the Hollywood attack to an isolated rooftop, knocked her to the ground and raped her, prosecutors said. They were identified through DNA evidence.
Five days earlier, the pair attacked another victim in a non-sexual assault. The jury convicted Mack of felony assault and Barway of misdemeanor assault in that attack.
Mack was additionally convicted of two counts of second-degree robbery.
