Police searched Saturday for a man and woman suspected of stealing five display cell phones worth more than $3,300 from a T-Mobile store in Garden Grove.
Officers responded at 2:40 p.m. Friday to the store in the 13800 block of Brookhurst Street and were told by employees that two suspects, a man and a woman, walked into the store and began forcefully removing phones from a display rack, according to Sgt. Royce Wimmer with the Garden Grove Police Department.
An employee approached the man, who pulled out a pair of scissors and threatened the employee, then pushed him as he and the woman ran out of the store, got into a black sedan, possibly a four-door Honda, and fled westbound through the parking lot toward Brookhurst Street, Wimmer said. The employee was not hurt.
Officers checked the area for the suspects and the vehicle, but were unable to locate either, Wimmer said
