Sheriff’s crisis negotiators were working Monday morning to get a man suspected of firing gunshots in a Norwalk neighborhood to come out of a home in which he is barricaded, authorities said.
The incident began about 1 a.m. when neighbors called the sheriff’s department to report shots fired, Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said. No injuries were reported.
Arriving deputies saw the man run into a home, Koerner said.
The sheriff’s SWAT team responded to the scene as did deputies from the Norwalk, Industry, Pico Rivera, Lakewood and Compton stations, he said.
