A 36-year-old man from La Habra Heights was killed in a motorcycle crash in the Angeles National Forest, it was reported Monday.
It happened about 11 a.m. on Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road at Mile Marker 6.84, California Highway Patrol Officer R. Donoghue said.
The 2015 Ducati motorcycle was northbound on Upper Big Tujunga Road and lost control in a turn, crashing head-on into a tree, Donoghue said. The victim — whose name was being withheld — was pronounced dead at the scene.
“An investigation is still pending whether alcohol or drugs played a factor in this collision,” Donoghue said.
A SigAlert was issued from 12:10 p.m. to 4:55 p.m. closing the northbound and southbound lanes of Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road, Donoghue said.
