A GoFundMe page established in hopes of raising donations for the funeral expenses of two of the four people killed in a street-racing crash on the westbound Moreno Valley (60) Freeway in Moreno Valley had raised over $3,000 as of Sunday afternoon.

Valentino Ramos, 21, and Luna Airyana, 20, both of San Bernardino were expecting a child, according to the page, which was created by an aunt of one of the victims.

“This past weekend, they had their first baby shower where we all got to gather and celebrate the coming of their baby boy,” the GoFundMe page said.

The couple were sitting in the backseat of a white, 1999 BMW 328i heading back from an outing to Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa in Cabazon when the crash occurred, according to the page.

The car was moving at a high speed when the driver lost control, crashed into the center divider guardrail and overturned, California Highway Patrol Officer B. Johs said.

Two victims were ejected and three were trapped in the wreckage of the crash, which was reported about 7:30 p.m. Friday west of Redlands Boulevard, according to Tawny Cabral of the Riverside County Fire Department.

“Four of the victims perished at the scene and one victim suffered serious injuries,” Cabral said.

The other two deceased victims were identified as Polo Najera Perez, 21 and Rafael Ramirez Espinoza, 21, also of San Bernardino.

Witnesses interviewed at the scene stated the driver of the BMW was possibly street racing before the crash, Johs said. “They described the other vehicle as possibly a dark colored Honda.”

The surviving passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Colton, was taken to Riverside University Health Systems with injuries described as moderate, the officer said. Her name was not released.

“Alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in this collision,” Johs said. The four deceased victims were not wearing seat belts. The survivor was wearing a seat belt.

Anyone with information about the crash was asked to call Johs at (951) 637-8000.
