A pedestrian was killed Wednesday morning in a collision on the eastbound Gardena (91) Freeway near Central Avenue in Carson.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to a call just after midnight reporting a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian in the No. 4 lane of the freeway, according to CHP Officer Patrick Kimball.
A SigAlert was issued about 12:30 a.m. and all lanes of the freeway were closed, he said. The closure was lifted at 3:50 a.m.
The name of the victim and the circumstances of the crash were not immediately disclosed.
