A 23-year-old after-school instructor who worked at a Santa Ana elementary school was arrested Friday on suspicion of aggravated sexual assault for allegedly abusing four students and detectives fear there could be additional victims.
Eddy Bustamante Infante of Santa Ana was arrested at his home and was booked at the Orange County Jail, with bail set at $1 million, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
Since 2015, Infante has been an after-school instructional provider and teacher’s aide at Greenville Elementary School at 3600 S. Raitt Street, police said.
“The 12-year-old female victim reported that Infante sexually assaulted her during an after school program when she was only 10 years old,” according to a police statement. “The victim did not immediately report this incident. Detectives launched an investigation and located additional female victims who reported Infante also sexually assaulted them. To date, SAPD detectives have identified three victims in this case.”
Detectives believe there may be additional victims and urge anyone with information to contact Detective J. Guidry at (714) 245-8530 or jguidry@santa-ana.org.
Information can also be submitted by calling Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
