Deputies searched Thursday for a 19-year-old inmate who climbed over a wall and walked away from the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station.

Edis Gonzales-Lopez was working at the station as a trustee when he left around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Deputy Armando Viera Jr. of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

Personnel from the station searched the surrounding area for the man, but he has not been located.

Gonzales-Lopez is Hispanic, 5 feet 8, 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a white T-shirt.

Gonzales-Lopez, who is known to frequent the Pacoima area, was last arrested on suspicion of burglary on Sept. 17 by the Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division and was due to appear in court on Nov. 14, Viera said.

It was unclear what prior arrests or convictions he may have had, if any.

Anyone with information about Gonzales-Lopez’s whereabouts was urged to call the Metro Detail of the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau at (562) 946-7893.
