Police in Seal Beach searched Thursday for four people suspected of stealing approximately $2,100 worth of Nike, Adidas and RVCA merchandise from a shoe store.

Officers received a call about 2:45 p.m. of a robbery at the Private Sneakers store at 12410 Seal Beach Blvd., and learned that three suspects, a man, a teenage boy and a woman, had entered the store and taken multiple clothing items from display stands, according to Sgt. Mike Henderson of the Seal Beach Police Department.

One of the male suspects pulled out a pink box cutter knife and held it in his hand, while walking towards the store’s exit, then turned and faced the store employee, who was behind the counter, then walked slowly backwards while the other two suspects left the store with the stolen merchandise, Henderson said.

The three suspects got into a blue, possible Honda Accord and fled westbound through the parking lot and out of sight, Henderson said.

The first suspect was described as a black man, early 20s, 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build wearing a white T-shirt.

The second suspect is a black male, approximately 16 or 17 years old, medium build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black sweatpants.

The third suspect is a black woman, mid-20s, heavy set with her hair pulled back in braids, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the “Champion” logo on the front.

A description of the fourth suspect, the driver of the vehicle, was not immediately available.

Anyone with information about this crime was asked to call Detective Jeff Gibson at (562) 799-4100, ext. 1109.
