The Los Angeles Police Department has announced the following parking restrictions around Dodger Stadium during World Series games:
Between 6 a.m. and midnight each game day, “Tow-Away, No Stopping Anytime” parking restrictions will be posted in Elysian Park as follows:
— Stadium Way between Scott Road and Academy Road.
— Academy Road between Elysian Park Drive and Stadium Way.
— Scott Avenue between Boylston and Elysian Park Drive.
The restrictions will be “strictly enforced,” according to the LAPD.
Also, the LAPD warned that streets around Dodger Stadium will be highly congested and advised motorists to avoid all unnecessary travel between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. on each game day: Riverside Drive on the north; Temple Street on the south; Glendale/Alvarado boulevards on the west; and Broadway on the east.
The LAPD recommended the use of public transit. For more information call Metro at (323) GO METRO (323 466-3876) or visit the agency’s trip planner website at: www.metro.net.
“In addition to parking enforcement, LAPD officers will be patrolling the area to enforce the no tolerance policy for drinking in public or in the parks,” police said in a statement.
Also, no tailgating is allowed at Dodger Stadium. Anyone with questions can call the LAPD media relations office at (213) 486-5910.
