Police in Anaheim are asking for the public’s help locating a vehicle that was involved in a hit-and-run collision that left a woman hospitalized with major injuries, police said Sunday.

Investigators are looking for a 1998 or 1999 red Isuzu Amigo with right front headlight damage and would also like to speak to its driver, according to Sgt. Jeff Mundy of the Anaheim Police Department.

The crash occurred at 8:49 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Haster Street and Leatrice Lane.

When officers arrived, they found an 18-year-old woman suffering from major injuries, apparently the result of being struck by a vehicle, Mundy said.

She was transported to a local hospital where she remains in critical condition, authorities said.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Anaheim Police Department at (714)765-1900 or anonymously at Crime Stoppers, (855) 847-6227 or www.occrimestoppers.org.
