A man was killed early Thursday in a collision involving a Toyota pickup truck and a street sweeper in La Habra.
A La Habra police officer arrived at the scene just after 2 a.m., seconds after the collision occurred in the 1100 block of West Imperial Highway, according to LHPD Sgt. R. Hurst.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters.
It did not appear the driver of the street sweeper was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident, Hurst said. He was not injured.
The westbound lanes of Imperial Highway, just east of Idaho Street, were closed until further notice while an investigation into the cause of the crash was conducted.
