A man was on the roof of a motel in Santa Ana Thursday morning and authorities attempted to talk him down.
Officers went to the motel in the 1500 block of North Harbor Boulevard Thursday morning and located the man, according to Cmdr. R. Webber of the Santa Ana Police Department. It was unclear what time the incident began or why the man climbed the roof.
The man did not have any weapons and authorities were talking with him, Webber said.
Orange County Fire Authority firefighters were at the location and had provided a ladder for the man, who was possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs, to come down, but he remained on the roof, a news photographer reported from the scene.
