A male juvenile has been shot and killed in East Los Angeles, and sheriff’s deputies are continuing to investigate the circumstances as the suspect remains at large, according to the Los County Sheriff’s Department.
The shooting was reported at 7:12 p.m. Saturday on the 4000 block of San Carlos Street, Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide detectives canvassed the neighborhood for potential witnesses and the case remains under investigation.
No weapons were recovered and there is no suspect description.
