The coroner’s office Monday confirmed the identity of a man shot dead in Wilmington.
Julio Urbina, 31, was a Wilmington resident, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.
The shooting was a little before 1:45 a.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of East Young Street, said Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
ABC7 reported friends and neighbors said Urbina was a father of three children, with another on the way. They said he was walking home from a baby shower when was shot.
Neighbors saif Urbina was not a gang member. Police had no information on a suspect or possible motive.
