Three men and a woman have been arrested and booked on suspicion of operating an alleged drug-dealing operation out of a Fullerton kennel, police said Thursday.

Richard Sanders, owner of the Sanders K-9 Inn at 112 W. Walnut Ave., was booked Wednesday on suspicion of drug and drug paraphernalia possession, Fullerton police Lt. Jon Radus said.

Also in custody are Christopher Proglio, 53, of Fullerton, suspected of possession of a controlled substance and methamphetamine for sale, having brass knuckles and forging of an official seal.

Juan Coronado, 38, of Corona, is suspected of possession of drug paraphernalia and forging of an official seal; and Jennifer Sandoval, 30, of San Dimas, faces suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia accusations.

About noon Wednesday, undercover Fullerton detectives conducting surveillance at the business for drug sales saw Proglio, who was living inside the kennel business and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and who is a probationer, Radus said.

When police questioned Proglio he was in possession of 28 grams of heroin and 1.6 grams of methamphetamine, Radus said.

A subsequent search of the business revealed “indications inside the business that they were selling drugs” out of the kennel, Radus alleged.

There were 20 dogs at the kennel, and after OC Animal Care inspected the facility it was decided to leave them in the care of an employee who does not appear to be involved in the drug activity, according to Radus.
