A motorist killed when his vehicle struck a power pole in Whittier was a resident of that city, authorities said Monday.
Andrew Delgado was 19, coroner’s Lt. Larry Dietz said.
The crash was just before 1 a.m. Sunday in the 16200 block of Whittier Boulevard, a Whittier police watch commander said.
Delgado was the vehicle’s only occupant when it struck a Southern California Edison power pole, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
