A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle Friday and killed in the unincorporated Homeland area of Riverside County near Menifee.
Firefighters responded about 3:30 a.m. to the 31000 block of Highway 74 and located the pedestrian, who died at the scene, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
It was unclear if the pedestrian was in a crosswalk or in lanes of traffic at the time of the crash.
The California Highway Patrol investigated the crash.
The age, gender and name of the victim were not disclosed.
